Dr. Liz Noppinger
Dr. Liz Noppinger was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, dreaming of becoming a veterinarian from an early age. She started with rescuing stray animals, then moved on to volunteer/work at local veterinary clinics and shelters throughout high school and college. Just a few months after graduating from the University of Maryland, she drove across the country to California with a plan to plant roots.
She spent 3 years working with wildlife, exotics, and shelter animals in the San Francisco Bay Area, then headed to the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated in 2012.
After graduation, Dr. Noppinger and her husband moved to the Central Coast of California. Dr. Noppinger worked for five years there as a small animal veterinarian, spending her days off spaying and neutering at the local humane society. Over time, she missed the activities associated with living in a big city. Since San Diego had always been her desired destination, Dr. Noppinger and her husband made their next, and hopefully final, move!
Dr. Noppinger’s special interests include behavior, emergency medicine, oncology, and hospice care. She also appreciates the workup involved with internal medicine and takes the time to thoroughly review her diagnosis and treatment plan to clients.
San Diego has always been Dr. Noppinger’s dream city. She loves to be near the warm beach and have easy access to her favorite activities: jogging, hiking, freshening up her surfing skills, and traveling whenever time allows.
