PAWS of Coronado
Founded in 2003, PAWS of Coronado rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes dogs, cats, exotic mammals, and birds. PAWS of Coronado is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the City of Coronado's trusted partner in operating the Coronado Animal Care Facility. Guided by a deep belief that every healthy and treatable animal deserves a chance at a forever home, their dedicated team provides shelter, medical rehabilitation, and adoption services for lost, stray, and surrendered animals throughout our community. We are proud to stand alongside them in that mission.
Sponsor an "Adopt Me" Vest
One of the most heartwarming ways PAWS of Coronado gets rescue dogs into loving homes is through their "Adopt Me" Vest Program. Volunteers walk adoptable dogs through Coronado in bright, high-visibility yellow vests, where residents and tourists alike stop to ask that all-important question: "Can I adopt this dog?" The results speak for themselves. According to the Coronado Times, the program has contributed to a record-breaking year for adoptions, with more than 42 animals finding homes in March alone.
Coronado Veterinary Hospital is proud to support this initiative, and we'd love for you to join us. Through PAWS's exclusive sponsorship opportunity, your brand can be the only one featured on every vest in active rotation. Sponsors receive logo placement on all vests, recognition across PAWS newsletters, their website, and social media, and an optional QR code linking directly to your business, all while helping rescue dogs get noticed, get adopted, and get home. Our Team Beyond the Clinic
The compassion that drives our work with animals doesn't stop at our front door. Earlier this year, one of our veterinary assistants traveled to Masaka, Uganda with Skyline Global Ministries on a two-week mission trip. There, she helped staff medical camps serving hundreds of patients, distributed prescription medications and reading glasses to those without access to basic healthcare, and led children's ministry across 17 classrooms in villages throughout the region. She also personally sponsored three siblings whose parents are unable to provide for them due to chronic illness, committing to ongoing monthly support for their food, medicine, and education. She came home changed, and we couldn't be more proud to have her on our team.

Supporting Local Charities and More
Coronado Veterinary Hospital sponsors families and foster children in need by partnering with Olive Crest to support its Strong Families Program. In 2024, we began our partnership with Lifeline Community Service’s Adopt-A-Family holiday program. We also partner with PAWS of Coronado to extend compassionate care to the lost, stray, and abandoned animals of our community.
