Pet Boarding in Coronado FAQs

It's summer time, and for many families that means time to go on vacation. We know you can't always bring along your furry family members, so at Coronado Veterinary Hospital we're ready to care for them while you're gone. Our Coronado pet boarding facility has been the boarding choice for hundreds of families, with caring staff and a veterinarian on duty during business hours, your pet couldn't be in better hands. You've probably got questions, and here are some of the more common ones we're often asked:Cat and dog sitting together in Coronado, CA

Can Anyone Use Your Pet Boarding Facility?

Yes, however an examination with one of our Veterinarians is required within the last year.  This way we establish if your pet has any physical conditions we should be aware of.

What Should I Do Before Boarding My Pet?

It's important for you to make sure your pet is up-to-date with its vaccinations before bringing it to stay with us. Required canine vaccines are DAPP, Bordetella and Rabies.  Required Feline vaccines are FVRCP and Rabies.

What Should I Bring With Me?

We want your pet to be as comfortable as possible, so bring a blanket it sleeps with, and perhaps a favorite toy. Any familiar items from home will help your pet to make the transition. Dog boarding and cat boarding can be stressful, and we want to reduce that stress as much as possible.

What About Food?

If our veterinarian has recommended a special diet for your dog or cat, bring enough for your pet to eat the entire time. We provide basic nutritional food, but we don't stock multiple brands of cat and dog food.  Bring your own to be sure.
